Can you take me Higher?
The dreams came like the
lighting from a thunderstorm. Thoughts invaded every corner of the
mind.
It wasn't a very good night for
sleeping. Tossing and Turning like an ocean freighter. What was going on?
The questions kept waking me, and my slumber was interrupted.
Was I afraid or was unsure of things?
The sun's rays encompassed my
window and the light danced upon my face. I was waking to a new day. The
questions start to mingle in my mind and there was a flood of my thoughts. Am I
ready?
I guess it was time to get a
jump on life and get moving.
The day was sunny and
beautiful. I had a smile, a grin, a smirk, and a happy-go-lucky
facial expression. "Hey! What are you so happy about?" someone
asked me. I reply "I don't know", but I did know, in my dream.
The day was nicer and easier
than any other day I had. I was walking with a bounce in my step. I was saying
hello to people I didn't even know. Yes! There was something really different.
But what was it?
The day had been fulfilling. But, it was time to go to that other place. That place? The place where sleep would never come. I didn't know if I wanted to go there for one more night. So, I lay down, I closed my eyes and then it happen.
I Sleep and then the sleep turns into a dream, one that I did not want to come out of. It was pleasant and comfortable, it was the perfect place to be. A world like I never knew. The rolling ocean seemed to be flat now. The ship was sailing smoothly. I was surrounded by my inner thoughts. The answers were all there. Feelings, feelings I had long ago came back. being with someone who liked me or even loved me. It is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
So, Can you take me higher?
