Are there Dollar Stores in Heaven

Dollar stores are a very interesting place to shop. Can you really sell all of these items for one dollar? I guess they can. When I walk in, it feels like there are a million items to choose from. They have everything.

Now I frequent one store all the time in my neighborhood. But to my surprise, another has opened. Now my regular store has it all. But! the new one is like high-end dollars. The product line looks and feels, well a higher quality.

Let me give you an example. My family loves a certain Polish Mustard. We buy this product at a very high-end grocery store. On one certain day, I happen to walk into the newer dollar store. There, low and behold the same mustard. I go and by all twelve jars on the shelve.

So the new dollar stores that are popping up all over the place are heaven-sent. I have to tell you, they feel cleaner, the shelves are more in order and again it feels as if they have everything.

So with all said and done I believe there are going to be dollar stores in heaven. They are the five and dimes of times gone past. You get the greatest deals in them and you can always find a surprise.

So to my readers, Dollar Stores are the way to spend a buck.

MY KIDS

As I sat down to write this I really didn’t know where it was going to go.  I need to talk about my parents. Throughout my life they have always taken care of me but, now it’s time for me to take care of them hence My Kids.

All my life I could say that my parents have been there for me. They have done all kinds of special things for me and my siblings. When I was younger they put a Band-Aid on my knee. As I got older when I was in school and needed money they sent it. Getting even got older they’re always there to give me advice and wisdom

But pardon the pun, the shoe was on the other foot. I have parents one 80, my mother the other 82 my father, and both with a list ailment. Each of them has special needs to be taken care of day in and day out. So as I said before, the shoe is on the other foot.

Each day starts the endless list of chores that need to be done. One doctor’s appointment after, a doctor’s appointment. The doctors really never find a cure, but just make them comfortable for another day. The cooking the cleaning is endless. They take care of them to make sure that their life is a little bit easier on these ladder years.

Yes, this can be very stressful at times, but for the most part, it’s pleasurable, because the shoe is on the other foot. For a lot of years, they were always there and now it is time for me to be there Mom and Dad.
